Dunsford is on County Rd 7, just south of Hwy 36, between Bobcaygeon & Lindsay, and just west of the County Rd 24 intersection. The Community Centre is on Community Centre Rd., east of the village and on the east side of Cty Rd 7 
(Watch for the yellow ribbons!)
 
 From Peterborough: go due north from Omemee on Cty Rd 7 to Dunsford.
 From Bobcaygeon:  follow County Rd 24 to Hwy 36, then turn west on Hwy 36,  1 K to Cty Rd 7.
From Lindsay: follow Hwy 36 to Cty Rd 7

    ... and family... and neighbours. Offer rides to those who need them.
 
3. Bring goodies
    We're offering refreshments - which means we need volunteers to make sandwiches, pickle trays, cookies, etc.
 
4. Spread the word
    Pass this message on to anyone who might be interested. Phone those who don't have email.
 
5. Come & have fun... and get answers
    We'll have guest speakers, questions from the audience, and refreshments. Everyone will be there - don't miss it!

The objective of the rally is to allow both `Yes’ and `No’ supporters and undecided voters the opportunity to hear what the experts elsewhere in the province and the country have to say about amalgamation.

     Confirmed speakers include:
  • Andrew Sancton - Professor of Political Science, University of Western Ontario and author of Merger Mania, The Assault on Local Government
  • Peter Trent - Former mayor of the City of Westmount, P.Q. and leader of the Municipal `de-merger' movement in Quebec
  • Walter Robinson - Federal director, Canadian Taxpayers Federation
  • John Sewell - Former mayor of the City of Toronto
  • Michael Prue - NDP critic for Municipal Affairs and former mayor of the City of East York
  • Joseph Cooper - Columnist, Toronto Mirror newspaper
  • Margaret McCarthy - Councillor (Flamborough), City of Hamilton
  • Jim Brown - Publisher, Ridgetown Independent News

     Robert Bish, Professor Emeritus, University of Victoria and author of the C.D. Howe report `Local Government Amalgamations: Discredited Nineteenth Century Ideas Alive in the Twenty-First’ is submitting a prepared statement to be read at the information rally.
     Media are invited to attend starting at 6:00 p.m. for advance interviews with the speakers and light refreshments. Exclusive one-on-one media interviews with the speakers can be arranged upon request.
